Marine Thinking Included in Government of Canada Defence Investment Initiative

Marine Thinking is proud to be included in a recent Government of Canada investment aimed at strengthening defence capabilities in Nova Scotia and across Atlantic Canada.

Through support from ACOA (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency) under the Regional Defence Investment Initiative, this funding is designed to reinforce Atlantic Canada’s growing defence sector and accelerate the development of innovative, made-in-Canada solutions.

For Marine Thinking, this investment represents an important step forward. It will help accelerate our technology development and commercialization efforts, strengthen our internal capabilities, and support continued growth here in Nova Scotia. As we expand our autonomous marine systems and intelligent technologies, this support allows us to move faster and scale more effectively.

Shannon Miedema, Member of Parliament for Halifax, highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating:
“Halifax is the home of innovation for Canada’s ocean and defence sectors. Companies like Marine Thinking and GALAXIA Mission Systems are examples of what our city can contribute as we work nationally to strengthen the Canadian Armed Forces and increase our defence capabilities.
