Marine Thinking Successfully Delivers Marine Guardian Boat as Part of ISED and NRC Project
Marine Thinking is proud to announce the successful completion of our project in partnership with Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada (ISED) and the National Research Council Canada (NRC). This initiative reflects our dedication to driving innovation in autonomous marine technologies and delivering impactful solutions.
As part of this initiative, we delivered and deployed the Marine Guardian Boat to Mamaweswen, The North Shore Tribal Council (NSTC), which represents seven First Nations along the North Shore of Lake Huron. Mamaweswen’s mission to enhance the cultural, economic, and environmental well-being of its member communities aligns perfectly with the objectives of the Marine Guardian project, and we are honored to contribute to their efforts.
The deployment took place at Lake Dunlop and was facilitated by Sonya Cloutier, Emergency Management Coordinator. We also had the privilege of meeting Allan Moffatt, CEO of Mamaweswen, whose leadership plays a crucial role in advancing the goals of the region. Equipped with cutting-edge autonomous technologies, the Marine Guardian will support vital search and rescue operations and foster regional innovation.
Despite challenges posed by winter conditions and access restrictions, the team’s determination and collaborative effort ensured the successful delivery of the Marine Guardian. This deployment marks a significant milestone in Marine Thinking’s collaboration with ISED and NRC, and we are honored to contribute to the enhancement of safety, autonomy, and technological innovation in marine operations.
