Custom Integration: Autonomous RHIB Vessel

Published On: January 12, 2023Categories:

With the financial support of Innovative Solutions Canada (ISC), Marine Thinking is in the process of integrating autonomous features into a third-party rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB). Combining Marine Thinking’s Marine Tensor™ with real-time data from multiple on-board sensors and surface cameras, the enhanced RHIB vessel can now perform autopilot navigation with automatic obstacle recognition and avoidance.

The RHIB vessel is scheduled for evaluation by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) in 2023. Upon review and approval by the NRC, the autonomous RHIB will be added to the ISC Testing Stream’s “Pathway to Commercialization” source list — making it available for direct purchase to all Canadian government departments.

If you are interested in learning more about our custom integration process and enhancing your vessel with autonomous performance features, we’d love to hear from you.
